Good Evening. Today I went biking to harvard square. I went to Faro cafe and they called my drink for Emily Dickinson (because I was wearing my pin). Then I sat there...........and I read my book about communism and life after communism specifically in Bulgaria. I'm reading this book for my anthropology class ( anthropology of socialism and post-socialism ) and its really interesting. I dread it a bit when I get to the chapters titled Ethnographic Fiction but honestly they are interesting. They are just a little hard to understand in the context of everything else in the book, which is very centered around the author's observations of her new life with her daughter and husband in Bulgaria. Shoutout Kristen Ghodsee. She is a very good writer—a lot easier to understand than a lot of the anthropologists I have read for this class.
Anyways, I sat at Faro for a couple of hours and drank my cortado. On tuesdays (which today is one) Faro does Cortado Tuesdays between 2:00 and 2:22 PM during which you can get a cortado and only pay two dollars. Unfortunately, I am non-confrontational, and even though I biked all the way from Tufts University (20 mins ish) I didn't point out when the new barista ( older man ) still charged me the Normal Price. I didn't want to say anything because idkkkkk like Oh I heard this thing once that my drink is actually supposed to be cheaper than you are charging me Is That True and if so can I please pay the cheaper price????? lesson learned:: i should just ask if theya re still doing Cortado Tuesdays Before I order and then they can be like yes and charge me the right amount ( hopefully).
بعد ذلك, i biked back to school ( ركوب الدجرات ) and then I sat on the lawn (laid down more like) because biking up that hill was quite something. I laid there for about 13 minutes probably while some boys played with a soccer ball, then I got a little bit ansty and also scared of someone stealing my bike and so I went back to my dorm. I ran into Mia and Amenah on their way out to hang out on the lawn and I joined them. We sat there and listened to some music (like Adrienne Lencker idk how to spell sorry to you). And then we told stories and then I went to dinner. AFter dinner I came back 2 room and sat in bed and Lucas and Margot called and we talked for a little bit. Then I went to the library and worked on my several projects including finishing a movie and then starting to write my spanish final.
Now I am back in my room listening to music. I have my radio show tonight on WMFO #tunein at 1am eastern time. I will play a record I think,,,,justforfun.
Anyways. That is my day and I hopefully you enjoyed reading it. HAve a wonderful night.
<3,
